If you are thy type of person who is very passionate at growing plants at your property, you certainly love the gardening activity. Many individuals are into that as well and you could not blame them with that. As a matter of fact, gardening brings some health benefits such as improving your mood and giving you some Vitamin D exposure. Aside from that, it also improve the aesthetics of the environment and clean the air quality. It still has other benefits though, making other persons wanting it. For those nature-lovers, they definitely have an idea about what pruning does to a certain plant. It is basically the method of keeping your trees and other plants healthy and good. Aside from that, you also need it so you could protect your garden and your property from potential hazards such as pests. It involves removing rotten or dead parts and also trimming it to help a plant develop in a healthy way.

Through this, plants will grow healthy because those dying and rotten parts are being eradicated. It protects them from animal and pest infestation while its natural shape and growth will continue to be in good state. As you see, it does contains several benefits. And when the autumn season finally comes, your hands might be itching to get some tools and start some pruning. But then, you must know this one thing. Fall is never the best season for you to do that activity.

Of course the benefits listed above are the reasons why pruning is important. So why exclude the fall season with that method? Yes, it does encourage a plant to have some new growth, however, pruning can also be a wound for them. And in his season, those wounds will not heal in a fast process.

You must know that the next season after fall is winter. And during cold seasons, the energy of plants are all concentrated to their roots. Meaning, the wounds might not get some attention and therefore, it leaves the plants into a fragile state.

So what will you do instead during that season? Of course you would not just stand and watch everything turning into something messy. You may do mulching and also raking for your lawns. In fact, mulch is helpful in protecting your plants during winter season as it gives nutrients to their roots.

Deep watering can also help. It might be tough for them to get water from winter from the cold grounds. It could be helpful for the trees. Aside from that, you may resume pruning on the late winter or perhaps during early spring.

So is it a good idea? No. You better keep your pruning tools off from your garden. Otherwise, you face some negative outcomes.
